Let me tell you a story...

Once upon a time, when the age of enlightenment crested and the first breaths of the Romantic Era could be felt, there was a great conclave of the brightest and best in Strasbourg. But petty squabbles happened and a few documents were lost in a fight, but not forever. It took them a hideously convoluted path to resurface and find their way through Victorian-era London to the other side of the tiny pond they call after the sunken city of Atlantis. From the luggage of an excentric woman, they passed to a bright young librarian who managed to trace down a distant relative of the author in the most glorious town of Montréal.

A short visit became a long stay, and before long, Just a few wee years before the Gilded Age found its end, said librarian sacrificed her old life on the altar of science, embracing the kiss of death for but a moment. But like a phoenix, she was reborn from the event, better and more formidable than ever! While she studied, the Belle Epoque turned to brimstone that grew into the Roaring Twenties only to fall into the Great Depression and squabble again. It took until the flames of war had died again and the state that had ignited them twice was remade anew for the now white-haired researcher to finally visit the town those documents had come from, starting a tour of research, arts and creating the most wonderful concoctions and drinks for whoever wanted to taste their exquisiteness.

Did the trail of our little Weirdling bring her to this town called Houston? And did it end? You tell me, little songbird... oh, I forgot, you can't! Too bad, but rest assured, that's just two chapters...
